Daughter dating man older than father
Live in their city, in their house, take care of their kids, and be bubbly cheery and horny to boot, and of course not bring your own baggage, if they wanted someone with life history they'd date a 30-year-old.
The father of the child isn’t in the picture and my friend’s dad has taken a vested interest in the boy’s life and future.
While going down the list of loved ones, she shared a bit of information with me that raised my eyebrows: “My dad’s good. He’s got a girlfriend…and she’s like my age.” In true Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura fashion, I responded with “Oh re-he-he-heeeeeally? For most of us, the idea of our parents dating is hard.
He calls her his ‘friend’ but it’s obvious that they’re kind of serious.” Not serious enough to walk down the aisle, though.
That said, my parents are 10 years apart and they are still together and from my perspective very happy/they are a good team.
That said, aside from it having been a different time, from what I know of their stories, it wasn't him picking up an 18 year old up at a bar or whatever, but rather he was a slightly shy/not great with people guy and she pestered and convinced him (my mom is pretty opinionated and she also had to fight her mom-in-law tooth and nail). Good things: He had the means to take me to some pretty cool places. In order to take it seriously, he had to hear it from a same age friend. He would flat ignore or deny that I had said it before.) On top of that, he was just really weird.
