The default setting of Power Options is "Balanced", changing it to "High performance" improved immediately the bad sound quality of (Control Panel-Power Options - check High Performance). I bought an MSI box which had Realtek HD Audio driver.

The first thing I needed to do was update the sound driver in Device Settings.

If you don’t have it yet, try checking for updates in Windows 10’s Settings Arguably the biggest update is Cortana.

Microsoft continues to expand on what Cortana can do, clearly trying to make it the most powerful assistant in an increasingly growing pool of competition (Siri, Google Now, Alexa, and the whole gang).

How can I fix my Realtek HD Audio after upgrading to Windows 10? What fixed it for me was to disable the Dolby Digital Plus effects.

After upgrading, the sound quality of Realtek HD Audio has become very bad and extremely low.

You can even do it as you're listening to something to tell the difference.

It includes many, many more changes than the November update did.

The Anniversary Update will report itself as version 1607, despite the fact that it technically launched in August instead of July.
